RECIPE: Buoyon blanc

An easy and healthy weeknight meal to add to your repertoire!

Prep time: 30 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Works well with: Grouper, Parrotfish, any Fish With A Story




Ingredients

2-3 whole Fish With A Story from our Convenience Range

20 g fresh ginger

3 ml mixed herbs

salt and pepper

5 ml dried thyme

100 g purple onions

1 red or yellow pepper, chopped

3 ml spice for fish

1 L water

3 ml turmeric

20 ml tomato sauce

20 g garlic

50 g fresh tomato


Method

  1. Cut the fish (including the head) into three or four chunks and coat with herbs and turmeric.

  2. Pound the garlic and ginger with the salt. Slice the onions and fry gently in a little oil.

  3. Add the fish, peppers, garlic and ginger, then stir and add water. Simmer for about ten minutes.

  4. Add tomato sauce, and about 50 g of finely chopped fresh tomato. Continue simmering for another ten minutes.
